About Landfill Environmental Group
Landfill Environmental Group is an industry leader in sustainable, environmentally sympathetic engineering. Across our comprehensive portfolio of civil engineering works, spanning land, waste, and energy, we take a forward-thinking approach. This allows us to deliver new, sustainable futures to poor-quality land. We aim to provide civil engineering solutions for future societies by reducing long-term costs with high-value results.
Our mission
Our mission is to reuse and restore spaces into commercially sustainable entities. We regenerate and reuse as many materials as possible to minimise the usage of landfill sites. This allows us to protect the environments that we work in. By finding innovative solutions, we reverse the damage that has been done to the land, as well as adding value.
We endeavour to make invaluable sustainability works cost-neutral. To do this, we take a multi-decade approach to the rewards our projects can reap for our clients. This is all whilst delivering landscapes for the wider public to enjoy. Keeping our services local is also a priority for us to reduce traffic and ensure the smooth operations of projects.

Background
LFP started out as EGM Civil Engineering in 1992, founded by Graham Eckersley. In 2011 Graham’s son Paul took over the company and changed the name to PE Pipe Technology, which then became Landfill Projects in 2016. Gaining a reputation as the ‘go to’ Landfill and Environmental Engineering contractor in the UK, serving local authorities and Blue chip clients.
The business has been evolving over the last decade, and the core skills developed working in some of the most harsh and hazardous environments are now being applied to other sectors.
LFP has been relied upon in many crisis situations, situations of gas release and fire, to lead on remediation tactics and support front line emergency services.
Reuse & Recycle
LFP is focused on ensuring materials are reused and final disposal is minimised. It is part of our philosophy. We receive materials from construction sites, assess their value and use them to improve the appearance and aesthetics of underutilised land. All our processes are fully compliant and we work closely with the regulators to ensure best practice.

Future proofing
We do not just stop at bringing the land back to its best, we aim to help clients further embellish their land with renewable energy projects, whether that is Solar, wind or heat recovery. This is our commitment to a circular project and providing income streams where none existed previously. At the same time improving biodiversity and consulting on water management.
We are also heavily involved in using soil improvement technology to reduce the use of raw materials and machinery to improve sports grounds such as golf courses.
LFP has been undertaking renewable energy projects for over 25 years and continues to diversify into low-carbon energy with ground source heat recovery projects leading the way.
